FundSocial collects information directly from you, automatically through your use of the service, from other users interacting with you on the platform, and from service providers such as payment processors, authentication providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, and messaging providers.
3. Why FundSocial uses information
- To create and manage accounts, events, clubs, contributions, and wallet functionality.
- To process payments, recurring charges, refunds, withdrawals, reconciliation, and fraud review.

4. Payments and financial information
FundSocial does not store full card numbers or full bank account credentials in its own application database. Payment credentials are handled by payment processors such as Stripe using tokenised references, mandates, customer records, or processor-side payment method objects.
FundSocial does store transaction records and related operational data needed to run the service, including quoted fees, processor references, wallet movements, payout requests, event contribution history, refund requests, withdrawal holds, and support or fraud investigation notes.
5. Sharing information
FundSocial may share personal information with service providers and counterparties where reasonably necessary to operate the service, including:
- Payment providers such as Stripe and connected banking infrastructure.
- Hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, notification, and email providers.
- Other users where disclosure is part of the service, such as showing organiser identity, participant identity, transaction state, or event/club-related information.
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, regulators, law enforcement, or dispute-resolution bodies where reasonably required.
FundSocial does not sell personal information as a standalone commercial data product.
6. International processing
FundSocial and its providers may process or store data in Australia and in other countries where infrastructure or service providers operate. By using FundSocial, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally subject to reasonable safeguards and provider terms.
7. Data retention
FundSocial keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including service delivery, transaction history, dispute handling, tax and accounting records, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and enforcement of platform terms. Some records may be retained after account closure where required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
8. Security
FundSocial uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including authentication controls, access restrictions, managed infrastructure, and processor-supported security controls. No internet or mobile service is completely secure, and FundSocial cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. User choices and access
You may update some profile information directly in the app. Subject to applicable law and operational limits, you may also request access to personal information held about you, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of certain information where retention is not otherwise required.
10. Marketing and operational communications
FundSocial may send service-related communications such as verification emails, password reset emails, receipts, support responses, fraud or withdrawal review notices, and critical product updates. You cannot opt out of essential operational communications while using affected service features. Promotional communications, if introduced, will be managed separately.
11. Children's privacy
FundSocial is not intended for children under 18. If FundSocial becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a child in a way not permitted by law or platform policy, FundSocial may suspend the account and delete or restrict relevant data where appropriate.
12. Changes to this Policy
FundSocial may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in features, payment rails, compliance obligations, or operational practice. The updated version takes effect when posted unless a later date is stated.
13. Contact and complaints
Privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, or complaints may be submitted through FundSocial's published support channels. Until dedicated mailboxes are fully provisioned, contact may be initiated through in-app support or the contact details published on the website.
